The story flowed well, I didn’t feel bored or overwhelmed, and it didn’t feel redundant as oftentimes is the case with other stories. Though geared toward children with it’s easy drawings, short chapters, and easy language, this is a useful resource for parents to read and understand how to beat help their own children with difficult situations. But using tools that are easy, Marvin is able to take a step back and think through his situation in a calm manner and seeing things from another’s perspective. Marvin and his friends have to work through this bullying in the same way most children would. What a fun concept! Marvin’s Monster Diary 4: Neighborhood Bully was a story about just that-a neighborhood bully who targets Marvin out of the blue. I have not read any previous Marvin’s Monster Diary but understood a bit of the premise: a way to connect and explain big feelings and situations to children. I received this book as an advanced reader for my review.
